Welcome to the web site for the Walton and District Allotment and Garden Society.
The Society is run for the benefit of its members providing expert horticultural
advice together with our own shop supplying all gardening needs. We also organise
the letting of Elm Grove allotments, coach outings, and an annual show.
This is our Headquarters where we stock an excellent range of composts, fertilisers
and garden sundries. See price list page. We are open for members on Saturdays from
9.15am until 10.30am. Click & Collect will then run from 10.30am until 11.30am See
Trading Hut page. Reopening 9.15am Saturday 1st May.
The Society ran three outings in 2019. The May one was to Scotney Castle and Bateman’s,
both National Trust properties. In June the trip was to Audley End, a stunning housewith Victorian gardens.
In July Ascott and Stockwood Discovery Centre werethe destinations. Ascott House,
a National Trust property administered by the Rothschild family. Stockwood Discovery
Centre has extensive gardens and an award-winning display of carriages. See Outings

Annual Show and Events
Our Late Summer Show will be held on 21st August 2021 in All Saints Catholic Church
Hall in Queens Road Hersham and is open to all comers. During 2021 we are planning
to run 3 other events, “A Taste of Spring” and “A Taste of Autumn”, both at the Trading
Hut. We wrap up the year in December with an event at Woodlark Nurseries in Hersham
to see the magnificent display of Poinsettias grown for Christmas. See our Events

The Society’s own site, Elm Grove Allotments, is excellently situated in the centre
of Walton. See our Allotments page. The other local sites are Rydens Road, Home
Farm, Terrace Road and Burhill managed by Walton Charity.
We have our own apiary on the Elm Grove allotments currently home for three beekeepers
who between them have nine busy and productive hives. The honey is on sale at the
