Mayor opens allotments

Walton Charity and WADAGS are inviting local people to come and see the progress made and to meet some of the new and long standing allotment tenants. The Mayor of Elmbridge Councillor Nigel Cooper will be officially opening the re claimed allotments at Rydens Road on Saturday 18th April 2009 at 11am (main entrance on Severn Drive opposite Sherwood House residential care home). There will be a chance to look around the charity’s allotment site and meet with some of the current allotment tenants, WADAGS, and Walton On Thames Charity’s staff and trustees.

Allotments

Elmgrove allotments by Steve Block

After a lapse of nearly 30 years the Society has once again joined forces with Walton-on-Thames Charity and in future we will be working together to improve the availability of allotments in Walton. For the time being I have taken over the role of allocating allotments on all the Charity sites as well as Elm Grove. If anyone is considering applying for an allotment they should contact John Brine as soon as possible either by phone on 01932 225753 or by email: society@wadags.co.uk.
