We also organise the letting of Elm Grove allotments, coach outings, and an annual show.

The Society ran three outings in 2019.  The May one was to Scotney Castle and Bateman’s, both National Trust properties. In June the trip was to Audley End, a stunning  house with Victorian gardens.

In July Ascott and Stockwood Discovery Centre were the destinations. Ascott House, a National Trust property administered by the Rothschild family. Stockwood Discovery Centre has extensive gardens and an award-winning display of carriages. See Outings page for 2020 plans

Annual Show and Events

Our Late Summer Show will be held on 21st August 2021 in All Saints Catholic Church Hall in Queens Road Hersham and is open to all comers. During 2021 we are planning to run 3 other events, “A Taste of Spring” and “A Taste of Autumn”, both at the Trading Hut. We wrap up the year in December with an event at Woodlark Nurseries in Hersham to see the magnificent display of Poinsettias grown for Christmas. See our Events page for full details

The Society’s own site, Elm Grove Allotments, is excellently situated in the centre of Walton.  See our Allotments page.  The other local sites are Rydens Road, Home Farm, Terrace Road and Burhill managed by Walton Charity.

We have our own apiary on the Elm Grove allotments currently home for three beekeepers who between them have nine busy and productive hives. The honey is on sale at the Trading Hut. For more information please visit our Beekeeping page
